Were it not for the existence of Darius Asher, Zayel (born Zinnia Adler) would be the perfect Inquisitor. She is zealous and steadfast in spreading the Imperium's oppressive doctrine.  Her masters forged not just her mind, but her body into an instrument of the Emperor's wrath. Inhumanly pale and bedecked with angelic wings, her appearance is a reminder that He On Terra tolerates only perfect purity.

Darius Asher is quite possibly the Imperium's least sincere "penitent psyker." A dangerous alpha-level biomancer with telepathic capabilities that are nearly as strong. Clearly serving the Inquisition against his will and supposedly controlled by a sophisticated explosive collar, he always seems just a few heretical words away from finally pushing Inquisitor Zayel into executing him.
